Fans will not watch ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ without Johnny Depp

Pirates of the Caribbean fans warned they wouldn’t watch the new movie, which would feature Margot Robbie, without Johnny Depp.

Last week, fans were surprised by the announcement that Margot Robbie was set to produce and star the next Pirates of the Caribbean. It would be different from the upcoming reboot, which would be led by Karen Gillan.

As there will be two new Pirates of the Caribbean films, long-time fans demand Johnny Depp’s return as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Fans cry for Captain Jack Sparrow’s return

Fans want Amber Heard’s ex-husband to return to either one or both of the upcoming pirate movies. They believed Disney unfairly fired the 57-year-old actor from the franchise, Movie Web noted.

“It’s simple,” one fan tweeted. “If the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie has no Captain Jack Sparrow, no Johnny Depp, I’m not watching it.”

This tweet alone earned more than 8,000 likes, 1,500 re-tweets, and almost 200 comments.

Although another fan praised Margot Robbie’s new Pirates of the Caribbean project, he still wants Johnny Depp to do the job.

“Very happy for Margot Robbie on landing the Pirates of the Caribbean movie! She’s gonna kill it!” he said. “But can we agree that Johnny Depp should still play Jack Sparrow.”

Marcus then accused Amber Heard of being a liar, fabricating stories about the actor, allegedly, portraying him as abusive. He even said that the model almost ruined his life.

To recall, his ex-wife wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post, where she revealed she suffered domestic abuse at the hands of her “ex.” Although she didn’t mention Johnny Depp’s name, he eventually got fired from the movie series.

Margot Robbie’s new Pirates movie

Fans will once again see Margot Robbie on the big screen. After she played the role of Harley Quinn, she would don the pirate’s hat in the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

According to Entertainment Weekly, she will be reunited with the Birds of Prey screenwriter, Christina Hodson, to do the new Disney film. Instead of a spin-off, the latest project is, reportedly, a “separate original story” that would feature new characters.

The new Pirates film is still in the early stages of development. It will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, who also created the previous Pirates of the Caribbean movies. As it will introduce new roles, it remains to be seen if it will feature Johnny Depp’s, Captain Jack Sparrow.
