The most popular eSports organization to-date is making most of its influence to do good and give back to the community.
It looks like they’re doing a back-to-back collab with sports leagues to help give relief to those who were gravely affected by this ongoing pandemic.
Just recently, FaZe Clan teamed up with Los Angeles Kings, a local professional hockey team, for a co-branded merch in view of the organization’s Fight2Fund charity event.
Aside from the collaborated merchandise, the sports athletes join the FaZe Clan members in their weekly game streams.
This time around, the eSports giant helps out on NFL’s “Draft-A-Thon.”
The charity program is actually in line with the NFL’s first-ever virtual draft. This April 23, at 8 p.m. ET, the 2020 NFL Draft will be live-streamed on ESPN, ABC, and NFL Network.
On the same night as the virtual draft, the football league begins streaming the Draft-A-Thon Live on social media networks that’ll feature famous names like Kevin Hart, Deion Sanders, Rich Eisen, and many more.
The live stream will be up in all of the NFL’s official accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
It’ll start with giving a tribute to the health workers and the frontliners who continue to fight off COVID-19 and strive to save lives each day.
The FaZe Clan x NFL clothing merchandise will not only help advertise the event but also add more donations to “Draft-A-Thon.”
Reportedly, the items will range from US$40 to $80 [AU$63-$126].
The items are said to be limited. The clothing line will feature black T-shirts and hoodies with a late 90’s design vibe. The design is infused with football helmets, symbolizing both football and gaming as sports.
Hypebeast quotes FaZe Banks, founder of the FaZe Clan:
Our merch collab and participating in the Draft-A-Thon will be the first time a lot of traditional sports fans and NFL fans will be introduced to esports, so this isn’t only a huge moment for FaZe Clan, but it’s big for esports in general.
Make sure to check out the exclusive collab of two of the world’s famous sports leagues this Thursday and support the cause!
