‘Final Fantasy 7 Remake’: How to get Bahamut

Share

There are a lot of challenges that await players in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Getting through these challenges means players will have to go all out in terms of their Materia, weapons, and of course, their summons.

Some familiar names return as summon in the game. These include Ifrit, Shiva, Carbuncle, Leviathan, and more. While they are all already strong and all, what players should really eye on getting is the elusive Bahamut.

As one of the strongest summons in the game, players can use Bahamut to decimate even the strongest of foes. However, getting this dragon is not as easy as it sounds, and preparing for him is arguably one of the most time-consuming things to do as well.

Getting Bahamut

Some of the summon Materia’s in the game will come to players automatically as they progress through the story. However, most of the summons will be available at Chadley’s VR combat simulator, and they are a part of the Battle Intel side-quest. To access Bahamut, the final summon, players will first have to finish all 19 Battle Intel assignments.

Once they have done so, they can battle Bahamut in the VR combat simulator. Beating him means getting him as a summon, but that is easier said than done. As one of the toughest bosses in the game, players will do more than just grind their way to get through Bahamut.

Best strategy for Bahamut

For starters, players should max their levels and weapons upgrade before thinking about fighting Bahamut. This means grinding all the way to level 50.

It’s also important to come into the battle with maxed out Materia. Some of the Materia we suggest players bring is Healing, Magnify, a damaging Materia like Fire, and some stat-boosting materials such as HP Up, Magic, Up, and MP Up.

The best party for the game is Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa. Aerith will focus on healing and attack magic, while Tifa and Cloud go on the offensive with basic attacks. Bahamut will eventually start a countdown from five. Whenever the countdown begins, players should inflict as much damage as possible to stop the charge.

Skills such as Firaga, Focused Strike, and Focused Thrust should do the trick. These will eventually stagger Bahamut. If the countdown reaches zero and Bahamut uses Megaflare, it will be game over for the players.

As for his attacks, Bahamut’s are best blocked rather than avoided. After his HP goes down to a certain level, Bahamut will cast Umbral Aura. This causes damage over time, and there’s nothing that players can do about it other than heal. After a while, Bahamut will fall, and players will have him at their disposal. Keeping calm is important during this match, so players should just follow this guide faithfully.
