Fire Force season 2 drops on July 3 as part of the summer 2020 anime season. Also, the forthcoming installment is reported to be packed with intense and fiery scenes.
In late 2019, Fire Force announced its upcoming return for a second season. However, at that time, the anime has yet to disclose the official release date of the forthcoming series.
Fortunately, the update that Fire Force fans have been longing for recently came out. The official Twitter account of the anime series revealed that the show will make its anticipated comeback and it would bring more epic episodes as well.
Fire Force releases promotional poster
The tweet was accompanied by an image which showcased a Fire Force advertisement. It features Shinra and the rest of Company 8.
Moreover, the promotional poster was released to more than 30 stations in Japan. The team behind the anime franchise further asked fans to take a picture of the visual and then post it in their respective social media accounts if ever they see one.

The official trailer and key visuals revealed
In the previous months, Fire Force devotees have been graced with a lot of good news. The show has dropped the official trailer of its forthcoming season. The first part of the clip featured a blazing fire which summed up the intense scenes of the season.
Based on the trailer, the fans presumed that a catastrophe will happen in the forthcoming series. Moreover, a Fire Force key visual was unveiled. The visual featured both the returning characters and the new ones too.

The official synopsis of Fire Force reads,
“Tokyo is burning, and citizens are mysteriously suffering from spontaneous human combustion throughout the city. Responsible for snuffing out this inferno is the Fire Force, and Shinra is ready to join their fight. Now, as part of Company 8, he’ll use his devil’s footprints to help keep the city from turning to ash. But his past and a burning secret behind the scenes could set everything ablaze.”
What to expect in season 2
The first season of the anime series was based on the manga’s chapter 90, volume 11. In this installment, viewers witnessed the firefighter Shinra taking down the demonic presence in the region.
Also, these demons are spreading flame across the city. Not only that, Company 8 also executed their supernatural fire fighting abilities against the monsters in the previous season.
Meanwhile, the upcoming season is predicted to run through Chapter 197 of Volume 23. It might offer some new surprises regarding heroes’ lives. Furthermore, details will unfold concerning the Evangelists and the battles that Shinra would need to face.
