A fan-favorite character might not be a part of Fleabag season 3. This is after reports that Olivia Colman will be leaving the Amazon Prime Video series.
Colman plays the Stepmother in the Amazon Prime Video and BBC co-production. She earned praise for her portrayal of the passive-aggressive character on the series, even earning a supporting actress Emmy nomination.
Olivia Colman became an in-demand actress after winning an Oscar last year. Her full filming and promotional schedule are her main reasons for possibly departing the show.

As of right now, there is still no confirmation whether a third season will happen. Waller-Bridge always resisted the idea of making a third season.
However, she did promise that she will write a third season if a good idea comes to her. There are also rumors of a potential Fleabag movie in the works from the actress.

In an interview, she recalled begging the Killing Eve creator to include her in the comedy series. Waller-Bridge ended up writing a new character for her, which Colman considers as a “baddie.”
The Broadchurch actress has become a favorite of Waller-Bridge. Colman even joked that she tried to convince the Fleabag creator to write a character for her in Bond 25.

Colman recently wrapped up filming of the fourth season of The Crown. This will be the last time she will play the role of Queen Elizabeth II on the Netflix series.
She will also be part of the voice cast of the animated movie Connected. Her character will be a virtual assistant called PAL, who will be affected by a global tech uprising.
The Oscar winner is set to play a supporting role in The Father. Colman will appear with English acting legend Anthony Hopkins in the upcoming awards season drama. According to a review, there is a chance both Colman and Hopkins will earn acting nominations for the film.
