Blockchain technology will be the focus of a learning event at Adelaide’s Flinders University this month, with a number of industry experts to attend.
Called the “Blockchain Symposium,” it will be a one-day interactive seminar, which will enable businesses and government agencies to explore the use of blockchain, smart contracts and digital currency.
In the Morning session, attendees will hear from Dr Pip Ryan (University of Technology Sydney) on Smart Contracts and Trust, Jonathan Hatch (ASIC Innovation Hub) on regulatory requirements for supporting Fintech, Katrina Donaghy (Civic Ledger) on utilities and Smart Contracts, and Martin Read (Deloitte) discusses taking the first step.
The afternoon session will be an innovation workshop where the speakers will help individual participants and teams identify opportunities and pilot projects aligned to their value chain and business model.
“It’s pretty rare to have so many Blockchain Experts in a single room working on business opportunities so this is a unique opportunity not to be missed,” an organiser said.
