Epic Games has outdone itself once again with the new season of Fortnite. Fortnite Season 3 is now live, and there’s a lot of changes to the map that players are already familiar with, so if they want to win, they’ll have to learn a few tips and tricks first.
As the leaks have revealed before, Fortnite Season 3 will plunge the map underwater. While there are still many landmasses on the map, players will spend most of their time swimming and traversing bodies of water. Here are a few tips to get a better win rate in the new season.
Explore Fortilla with caution
Fortilla is a new point of interest in the map that’s located in the southwestern area. It may look familiar immediately as it now serves as the home menu location that players will see before loading up. It’s the new base of The Agency, for those that want to know.
The area is filled with high-tier loot, and since it’s a new POI, players are going to flock this at drop. If players are planning to check out this area, they must consider that Fortilla is vertically large. There are a lot of places for other players to drop into and ambush them, so it’s best to proceed with caution.
Lastly, since this is in the southernmost area of the map, it’s best that they move quickly as the storm could be far from the location.
Find a boat immediately
Fortnite Season 3 introduces a lot of new marine areas to the game. This shakes up the player’s strategy greatly as it is generally slower to travel while in water. The good news is that there will be more boats to find around the map this time around. If players want to avoid gasping for their life while the storm closes in, they need to find a boat fast as this is the best way to avoid water.
Build bridges
Players aren’t always going to find a boat in the game, so it’s best to gather materials instead. They can simply build platforms to cross the water easily, but this will require some quick thinking and even quicker fingers.
Fornite Season 3 is going to last a while, so players should get used to the water-heavy map as quickly as possible. These tips are going to go a long way for those victories.
