After an epic event that saw the conclusion of the game’s Chapter 2 Season 2, Fortnite made another revelation concerning an upcoming character from the DC universe to grace the game with its own skin and flesh.
Ever since PlayStation accidentally leaked an image that appears to point to what’s coming for Season 3, Fortnite generates speculations. With seawater being an obvious overarching theme, a thought as ridiculous as the game coalescing with Spongebob’s Bikini Bottom has come to surface.
Doomsday Event Cues
The recently held Doomsday event that essentially paved way for Season 3 added only fuel to the discourse with its display. From the appearance of a certain Midas device to the morphed field surrounded by a tower-high wall of water, these depictions were open for interpretations. One that many cannot help but use as part of more speculations.
But while partly revealing, those hints are undeniably not telling enough for a major revelation. For that reason, the developers launched a tweet aimed at hinting a more obvious cue. As it appears, it is a trident and one which conspicuously resembles the weapon Aquaman did use in his recent film.
Jason Momoa himself, the man behind the acting role, is one to add fuel to the overall intrigue as well. He himself is confident that the character is indeed coming to the game. Even becoming more surefooted after coming across the said trident image tweet that he personally proliferated via Instagram.
There could be more discussions to be made which underpins a common theme in water, drawing from the scheme of things. But all talks involving the next skin to come to Fortnite can now be laid to rest after a major reveal.
The Detail is in the Trailer
As per the latest video trailer, James Wan’s 2018 Aquaman is indeed coming to the game. Bearing all the details that resemble the character that Jason Momoa played aptly as. That’s including the signature scar on his left eyebrow.
Momoa’s portrayal of Aquaman in the film of the same name is not necessarily a serious one, although it can be. But his presence in Fortnite leans towards more of being upbeat and quirky, based on his expression in the trailer.
For a game that does not necessarily take itself too seriously, however, the notion hardly surprises.
With all that, Aquaman’s inclusion in the Battle Pass is nothing but certain. But while players might be eager to play him as, they may have to wait a little longer. It seems that the DC figure will not be making an appearance yet until later into the season.
