Fortnite Chapter 3 is going to be a massive hit since it has been taken over by Unreal Engine 5.
After the release of Fortnite Chapter 3, Epic Games has finally moved to Unreal Engine 5. Here’s what you can expect from this update: huge performance uplift, real-time lighting in addition to pre-made spectacular skyboxes, and improved water effects.
Fortnite is one of the best shooters ever created, and this new game engine update will only improve that experience even more. If you’re looking for a fun and hectic PVP shooter, it’s definitely worth giving F5 a try!
Fortnite Chapter 3 tool v0.4.1b is now available for download from Epic Games’ official website. This new update comes 9 weeks after the last one, and it’s a big deal for all Fortnite players with an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch (4th generation).
The new generation of the game will see a lot of new updates.
Check out what’s in store:
-Real-time lighting, including dynamic shadows. Real-time lighting will take a while to come true since it’s based on voxel light sources that need to be implemented into the game.
-Performance improvements. The first phase of this update is focused on improving frame rate issues that occur when fighting inside different areas such as the jungle or various structures. A second part of the update will better improve performance and load times in maps like Creative and Lazy Links. This should make it easier to fight at night with lots of monsters roaming around!
-A new skybox selected from the community will be used for Fortnite Chapter 3. This is just the beginning of real-time lighting. The developers are also looking into implementing a layer of fog over the map and dynamic lights that will appear on the surfaces.
-Improved audio system. You can expect better sound quality and improved support, along with easier-to-use controllers.
-New UI screen, which will make it easier to interact with all new menus, as well as some visual improvements here and there. Buttons should be displayed better now, which is especially useful when playing on a mobile device like an iPhone or iPad.
The new ‘Spyglass’ item will help players spot enemies while they’re in motion (while they’re engaged in a fight).
Is the new update going to be huge?
The new brief of the game will be uploaded in Unreal Engine 5. This will allow the developers to implement all these new features and changes, but it will also give players a better overview of their current status in the game. It may seem like an incremental update, but it could be one of the most important evolutions of the game yet.
“Since we’ve switched to Unreal Engine 5, our focus is on making Fortnite play well on a variety of hardware configurations. We’re still working on optimizations to support high-end PCs and mobile devices, but these initial improvements have been popular with our players,” said lead engineer Bryan Hinkle.
“We’re excited to continue working hard on Fortnite and are hopeful that this new version of Fortnite will deliver an even better experience for our players.”
