Fortnite is getting some Venom: Let There Be Carnage-themed skins in celebration of the movie’s upcoming big screen release.
After multiple setbacks, the sequel to Marvel’s Venom is finally hitting the theaters on October 1, 2021. To commemorate the event, the film is seeing a crossover with Fortnite, which brings in costume based off on the anti-hero. More specifically, a Tom Hardy-looking Eddie Brock and a Venom skin that can be triggered via the Venom Unleashed Emote.
Official reveal
The reveal comes from an official Fortnite tweet, which shows Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock transform into his villainous persona. It follows Carnage, which just recently became an outfit in-game via the Chapter 2 Season 8 battle pass.
Interestingly, the Venom costume is not enabled by default to those who use Eddie Brock’s skin. But he can shift to his symbiotic costume at the player’s whim by using the Venom Unleased Emote. Alternatively, players may also switch between Eddie and Venom through the same functionality. It is an interesting approach that could see players changing appearances at a whim at any time during combat.
Apples. Cabbages. Chickens. Floppers. So many snacks, so little time.

Being able to play as Eddie Brock by default is an interesting premise by itself. But players can also choose to start off as Venom, if they prefer to. And it is as simple as choosing to begin with the skin as a Style from the Locker.
Other stuff
As is true with previous collaborations, the entry of Eddie Brock and Venom will also be accompanied by other aesthetics. In particular, an additional Venom outfit, the Symbiotic Sail Glider, the Tendrils of Venom Back Bling, and the Symbiote Trail Contrail. Lastly, there’s the Symbiote Scythe Pickaxe and the Different Tasty Snack Emoticon to add to the overall list. All of these items can be owned collectively via the Venom Bundle. However, players who already pre-owned said items will be able to purchase the Venom Bundle for less V-Bucks instead.
Marketing materials for Venom: Let There Be Carnage were released to promote the movie. While each offer enough interest for what viewers can expect to see, one that caught many would be the appearance of She-Venom. The very same character that was briefly shown back in the original 2018 movie. In a tweet, said female anti-hero came with a tagline, “She’s back in black” as part of her promotion in the upcoming movie. Although it’s still unknown how long her appearance would be in the sequel movie, actress Michelle Williams wishes for an “equal time” in it.
