Fortnite’s current season, the Nexus War, is already coming to a close, paving way to another, and will coincide with a service that is completely fresh from the game—a monthly subscription that offers contents and cosmetics, including exclusive items.
Dubbed the Fortnite Crew, this monthly subscription service will arrive as part of the game’s Chapter 2, Season 5. The upcoming season will succeed “The Nexus War,” which is slated to end on Dec. 1, 2020, 4 P.M. Eastern Time/1 P.M. Pacific Time.
Up-to-Date and exclusive contents
Once it rolls out, anyone who would choose to subscribe will never be out-of-date with all of the game’s contents. This means getting the latest Battle Pass automatically upon release and receiving an exclusive costume and a matching accessory. This is not to mention the 1000 V-Bucks that the player will receive every month. All for just $11.99 per month.
Combined, the overall costs of the contents outvalues the asking subscription price. This is considering that the Battle Pass alone would charge $9.50, and a 1000 V-Bucks is equivalent to $10 in real-world currency.
It’s official
Previously unveiled through some digging by data miners, Epic Games has officially announced the Fortnite Crew in a recent trailer. Giving the audience a legitimate statement over the forthcoming feature and what they could expect by opting for it.
Based on the image shown in the video, it’s clear that part of the promo’s debut offering will include a Galaxia skin, pickaxe, and back bling. Which, like many previous Fortnite gears, adds a particular uniqueness to one’s growing collection of in-game stuff.
All of the contents of the Fortnite Crew are themselves completely optional to have. An idea that might put some players on the fence. However, in order to address the second-guesses, Epic Games has promised to give the community more information before the month ends.
Opt-out whenever
Those who are persuaded by the developer’s marketing need not fear getting locked into a contract. Anybody who is caught up in the hype but did not find satisfaction with the promo can choose to opt-out at any time. But it is worth noting that non-crew members are missing out on a bargain. Not to mention items that will be exclusive to paying members.
The Fortnite Crew may not be for everyone. But hardcore fans who have a serious fear of missing out on Fortnite contents would do best to consider jumping on the bandwagon once it launches on Dec. 2, 2020.
