Epic Games has unveiled the newest update, v18.21, for its popular multiplayer title Fortnite, adding a lot of new and exciting content.
Fortnite v18.21 “Wrath of Cube Queen” update brings in tons of extra weapons and new locations. And there’s much more for all the die-hard players of the insanely famous battle royale game.
‘Fortnite’ v18.21: What’s in it for you?
Being a live service title, the beloved game keeps getting regular patches and seasonal updates. However, the latest version has added an expectedly larger amount of content. For example, new locations, enemy AI, and weapons alongside other crucial stuff.
Given that the ongoing season is Halloween, it was quite obvious to expect something from Epic Games. And the Fortnitemares, the game’s own event, is currently underway, based on the scary theme.
Epic’s official website has just revealed, in a detailed manner, massive perks coming to Fortnite in v18.21.
There is the Cube Queen, Season 8’s secret skin. And along with her, there are also the strongest Cube Monsters as well. They possess spectral tendrils that can pull players directly into The Sideways.
According to the latest v18.21 Wrath of Cube Queen trailer, these monsters appeared from The Convergence. The latter is the central point of the map in Fortnite, where all the mysterious cubes have headed towards this season.
In terms of weapons, the most notable addition is the Sideways Scythe melee weapon. Looking at it closely, it will surely remind many of you of the iconic Star Wars Lightsabers in the past seasons.
Players can obtain this Lightsaber-like weapon by going into the Sideways Chest. They can also get it by defeating one of the Caretakers. Although both these methods won’t prove to be a complete guarantee.
There are many other returning items in v18.21, such as the Pumpkin Rocket Launcher, Witch Brooms, and Candy. The latter features a new Zero Point Pretzel in the mix.
And in case you missed it, the fan-favorite mode, Horde Rush, has also made its comeback!
