Paris Saint Germain, or more commonly known as PSG, has been aggressively collaborating with various crypto companies to expand its presence in the crypto world.
And for its latest collaboration, it has signed a deal with Crypto.com, which involves making the cryptocurrency platform as PSG’s “Official Cryptocurrency Platform Partner for the Team.”
The full details of the deal are not yet available, but what is known right now is that PSG’s NFTs will be released on Crypto.com’s NFT-exclusive platform. Also, the biggest chunk of the sponsorship deal will be paid to PSG in $CRO tokens.
“Between the brand visibility, stadium and team access, and collaborative development of NFTs, I have no doubt we’ll create new and exciting experiences for football fans around the world,” Kris Marszalek, chief executive officer of Crypto.com, said.
Series of sports deal
With the sports world’s millions of active and tech-forward fans, Crypto.com knows that they are an ideal customer for its innovative crypto services.
And to bring its services closer to these people, Crypto.com has been aggressively signing deals with sports teams in various parts of the world to reach out to their millions of fans.
Crypto.com, aside from successfully signing a deal with Paris Saint Germain, has also collaborated with the Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC), Formula 1 racing, IIHF Hockey World Championship, and Italy’s Lega Series A.
One of the great feats that Crypto.com has achieved in these deals is that it became the first crypto company to partner with an F1 team and the first to team up with NHL team Montreal Canadiens.
Expanding its reach
Marc Armstrong, chief partnership officer for PSG, said that he and the football team are excited to partner with Crypto.com. He added that through this deal, PSG could finally step into the growing world of cryptocurrencies and NFTs.
