“Friends” may have ended more than two decades ago, but the casts are still cashing in as one of the most iconic tv series of all time.
NBC’s hit comedy sitcom first aired in 1994 and launched the careers of Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer.
Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, the show had ten seasons before saying goodbye to primetime tv in 2004.
It also received numerous recognition and earned Kudrow and Aniston Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress and Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, respectively.

“Friends” Cast Receives Millions Every Year
Now, the six main casts are still rolling massive amounts of income every year despite going off-air 16 years ago.
As cited by USA Today, the syndicated comedy sitcom contributes a staggering amount of $1billion each year for Warner Bros.
Moreover, the figures also spiked to $30million after the streaming giant, Netflix acquired the rights to the show in 2015.
This means each “Friends” cast member has two percent from the show’s revenue, amounting to $20million annually.
Friends Reunion Got Canceled
Previously, HBO Max announced its plan to have an unscripted reunion special starring the six main cast of the comedy series and would receive at least $2.5 million each for their participation, per Variety.
However, the much-awaited reunion was delayed due to the global pandemic.
NBC’s hit tv series joined a slew of film and movie production that was halted because of the risks of a health crisis.
Initially set to film last March in the iconic Warner Bros. soundstage in Burbank, California.
It was then moved to August and now poised to set in a yet-to-be-determined date, due to the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19.
“You’re asking me to extrapolate what the conditions in L.A. are going to be in August, and that’s a fool’s errand,” HBO Max head of original content Sarah Aubrey previously told The Hollywood Reporter.
Mini-Reunion in the Emmys 2020
Despite the delays of “Friends” reunion special, Kudrow, Cox, and Aniston recently appeared in a mini get together during the virtual 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards.
During the “The Morning Show” actress’ brief interview with event host Jimmy Kimmel, the “Scream, Actress” and the “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion” star made a brief cameo.
Later on, the Emmy Award nominee joked that they were living since 1994 as she calls the two “roomies.”
