Funimation drops a new trailer for Fruitss Basket: The Final, featuring both touching and heartbreaking moments.
The anime is now in its final season, so it’s time for fans to say goodbye to Kyo, Yuki, Shigure, and Tohru in Fruits Basket: The Final. From a clueless protagonist, fans are about to see Tohru ready to open her heart to Kyo and love him for who he really is.
The final season trailer
The new trailer shows Isuzu, also known as Rin, trying her best to break the curse. Akito is bursting into tears after slapping Kyo for trying to comfort her.
The preview also gives fans a glimpse of Yuki, confessing he isn’t a normal human to Machi and hoping the revelation won’t affect their brewing romance.
The clip then ends with Shigure proposing to Akito with a flower. With everything that Akito has been through, isn’t it the right time for her to be happy?
By the looks of it, Fruits Basket: The Final will explore Akito’s back story in the deep dungeons, per Epic Dope.
A key visual also drops ahead of the trailer, showing Tohru, Kyo, Yuki, Akito, Shigure, and Kazuma. They are all bind together by cables that form a web-like structure.
“All’s well that ends well,” the image’s text read.
This all-new visual is here to remind us all that Fruits Basket The Final Season is SO CLOSE!
We're also excited to share that @WARPsUP will be performing the opening theme and @genic_staff will be performing the ending theme!

Fruits Basket: The Final Season
According to Comicbook, the upcoming season will be the third and final season of the series. It will be part of the spring 2021 anime releases.
The little teasers that have come out have given fans a glimpse of the brand-new things that will end the series.
Fans can see the English dub release of Fruits Basket: The Final streaming on Funimation. However, it’s yet to reveal how many episodes the anime will have, but it promises to stick to Natsuki Takaya’s original story.
Meanwhile, major details about the final run have been released. The opening and ending themes will be titled “Pleasure” by WARPs and “Haru Urarara” by GENIC, respectively.
Though Fruits Basket: The Final will be the anime’s final outing, it still has a lot to showcase, coming fans’ way.
What the anime is about
Fruits Basket tells the story of Tohru. It’s a shojo manga series written and illustrated by Takaya himself.
Tohru is an orphan girl who learns the Chinese zodiac’s 12 animals possess the Soma family’s 12 members. It features the different relationships and hardships each character has, as well as their loves and hopes.
These things will continue in Fruits Basket: The Final and tie every loose end.
