Last month, Qualcomm announced the smartphones that will carry the brand’s latest Snapdragon 865 chipset. Now, Leaks from Fujitsu Connected Technologies Limited (FCTL) product page reveals specs for the Arrows 5G, its latest smartphone sporting the latest Qualcomm processor and 5G network compatibility.
The unexpected reveal of the Arrows 5G smartphone specs was a surprise due to the feature set of the smartphone. The leak disclosed almost every detail including what the smartphone will look like.
Powerful internals, elegant external
Fujitsu did not skimp when it comes to the Arrows specs. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 865 – Qualcomm’s most powerful processor to date. The processor is partnered with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage which is more than enough based on modern standards.
The phone has a 6.7 inches display with 2340 x 1080 full HD+ resolution. The curved AMOLED display houses the integrated fingerprint scanner and it is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The 32-megapixel front-facing camera is located on the top right corner of the display. Another good thing worth noting regarding the display is its minimal bezels.
Moving over to the back, the phone screams top of the line with its glossy finish. The leaks show a deep bluish-purple color which highlights the triple camera bump. There’s also minimal branding on the back.
Mobile photography heaven
For the mobile photography enthusiast, the Arrows 5G sports a 48-megapixel regular camera, 16.3-megapixel ultrawide camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto option, which supports 3x optical zoom. There’s no indication what sensor did Fujitsu use on its camera so there’s no idea if the image quality will be at par with the Pixel, Samsung S20 or the iPhone 11 Pro.
The cameras support 4k recording with optical image stabilization. An added bonus is the integration of Adobe Photoshop Express, which makes quick editing possible.
Software and connectivity
Arrows 5G comes with Android 10 installed and based on the leaks alone, it is still unsure whether it will arrive with stock android or if Fujitsu added their own skin.
As the name implies, Fujitsu’s flagship is one of the few phones that will take advantage of 5G connectivity. The Japanese company claims that 4.1Gbps download speed and 480Mbps upload speeds on mmWave 5G. For the sub-6Hz 5G connection, it slows down to 3.4Gbps download and 182Mbps upload speed.
All-in-one feature package
Thanks to its 4,070 mAh battery, the smartphone is expected to last the whole day for the average users. The phone also supports USB-PD fast charging via its USB Type-C port. Unfortunately, there is no wireless charging available.
Another good thing that Fujitsu has added is the IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. The Arrows 5G also includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, FM Radio and if the 128 Gb storage is not enough, there is a micro-SD card slot. Unfortunately, like other major OEM’s, Fujitsu opted to remove the headphone jack.
Pricing and availability
The release date and the price of the Arrows 5G are still unknown. However, Fujitsu mentioned that the smartphone is ‘Coming Soon’ in ‘Spring 2020’.
With the features that Fujitsu has included in this smartphone, and if it comes with the right price, then the company might have created another contender in this saturated market of smartphones.
