Her daughter and actress Rachael Stirling said that Rigg was diagnosed with cancer back in March, according to a report by BBC.
“She spent her last months joyfully reflecting on her extraordinary life, full of love, laughter, and deep pride in her profession,” she added.
Furthermore, Rigg is the only actress who played the role of Mrs. James Bond. Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli paid their tribute to the late actress via Twitter, respectively.

Dame Diana Rigg: early life and career
According to articles by BBC, Rigg was born on July 20, 1938, near Doncaster, England. As a child, she traveled to colonial India with her father, who worked as a railway engineer for the Maharaja of Bikaner.
After leaving school in 1955, she trained as an actress at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She made her professional debut in a production of Bertolt Brecht’s The Caucasian Chalk Circle, which was a part of the 1957 York Festival.
In 1965, she played the role of Pussy Galore in the TV series The Avengers. She got this life-changing role after Honor Blackman departed from the program.
