It’s been a while since we’ve last seen a major Nintendo Direct from the company, but the wait might not be long according to some industry experts. If there was a new Direct coming soon, fans want to see some of these titles in the event.
According to industry insiders, there’s going to be a new Nintendo Direct on July 20. We’ve been given mini-Directs in the past couple of months, and since a major one happened almost a year ago, fans are due for some big Nintendo news. Here are some of the titles that fans want to see if ever the event happens.
‘Metroid Prime 4’
Nintendo caught fans off guard when it revealed that Metroid Prime 4 was already in the works for the Nintendo Switch. The game was announced way back in E3 2017, and up to this date, we’ve yet to learn more about the upcoming title. Fans are eager to learn more about the next installment in the critically acclaimed series.
Unlike the classic Metroid games, Metroid Prime takes on a first-person perspective. The game has been praised for excellent gunplay, story-telling, and level design.
‘The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2’
Since being unveiled in E3 2019, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 sequel has been one of the most highly anticipated titles to date. Considering how successful the first game was, Nintendo must give the game some time to shine in a Nintendo Direct.
There’s not much that we know about the sequel to the Nintendo Switch hit other than it is a direct sequel of the original. From the look of things, Zelda will join Link in the next adventure as they take on who could very well be Ganondorf.
‘Bayonetta 3’
PlatinumGames, Bayonetta is a high-intensity hack and slash in the vein of Devil May Cry. The first two games are available on the Switch, and it was revealed a few years back that a third game is in the works. Since then, the developers and Nintendo have been tight-lipped about the upcoming title, and hopefully, it will come soon. Even a trailer for the upcoming title will surely delight fans.
The upcoming Nintendo Direct is expected to be a big one considering it’s been a long time since Nintendo has had a major stream. The company could be cooking up something big for fans to enjoy before July ends.
