‘Gears of War’ developer reportedly working on new IP

As per the latest flying rumors, Gears of War developer The Coalition is currently working on a brand new IP, set to come out soon.

Venture Beat’s Jeff Grubb recently shared information regarding The Coalition. He claimed that Gears of War studio is busy with a new IP at the moment.

There’s been no word from the developers themselves, though.

New project coming soon from ‘Gears of War’ makers!

On his recent episode of “The Game Mess Show,” Jeff Grubb talked about The Coalition working on its next IP.

The studio is associated with Xbox Game with the iconic and long-running Gears of War series.

Also, Xbox Game Studios is constantly working to develop the next Halo installment, Halo Infinite. The Coalition has also joined it for this purpose.

However, the news of a new game from the developer will surely make Gears of War fans excited.

Going by what Jeff Grubb says, the project will be a new IP, which means that it may not be a sequel to any past game, but a beginning of a new franchise altogether.

“They are working on Halo, and they are helping with Halo Infinite. That is one of the big projects that Coalition is contributing to in a major way.”

“Coalition is also, of course, making the next Gears game, of course, they’re going to do that. But the Coalition is also working on a third thing, and it likely is a new IP.”
