Nintendo has already added a new tab on the game’s roster. This means that a reveal of the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC might be soon. There are a lot of possible characters on the table, and now we’ve got a clue as to who might that be.
As per Comic Book, fan-favorite Geno is likely going to be added to the roster. The leak comes from retailer GameStop who was recently promoting the now-released Paper Mario: The Origami King.
While discussing the new game, Horton says, “I mean, there’s a reason that everyone was freaking out when Geno was announced for Smash.” This may come as a surprise to fans knowing that Geno hasn’t been announced yet. Moreover, the next DLC hasn’t been announced yet at all.
Of course, fans should take the statement with a grain of salt. Still, there’s a chance that Nintendo might add the long-requested character as a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC.
Geno is from the classic Super Mario RPG. In the game, he is one of the allies of Mario, and he’s a master mage at that. He’s already a part of Super Smash but only as a Spirit.
There’s a good chance that Geno might be added to the game, considering that he’s one of the most requested DLC characters to date. As GameStop is one of the top retailers, they might have the scoop about the future DLC characters for the game.
According to Nintendo, they are already working on the DLC characters for the game. They will launch up until 2020. For now, Min-Min has been the only one added, and there’s still five more to go. Moreover, Nintendo iterates that the last five characters are the last set of DLC for the game.
The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster is one of the grandest in gaming history. It features some of the biggest icons in gaming. Adding a fan favorite to the mix will only make the game more exciting. Hopefully, the rumors are true, and fans get what they’ve always wanted.
