‘Genshin Impact’ strategy guide: conquering Elemental Crucible event

Genshin Impact strategy guide: conquering the Elemental Crucible event and receiving its rewards

Genshin Impact is currently hosting its first limited-time co-operative event, the Elemental Crucible. Here’s what you’ll need to do to complete the event and receive tons of rewards.

Genshin Impact is rolling out its first limited-time event not even a month after its release. The Elemental Crucible event is also the first major co-operative event in the game. Rightly so, the event offers great rewards.

One challenge could even earn you 8 Mystic Engancement Ore and 4 Hero’s Wit character material items.

Here’s how you can complete the Elemental Crucible event.

Starting the Genshin Impact Elemental Crucible event

Starting the event is a no-brainer. All players need to do is to access the Event Menu and launch into the game from there. However, there are requirements that players must fill before they can participate in the event.

First, players should first reach Adventure Rank 20. The event will not start unless they’re at that level. Furthermore, players must complete all the questlines in Act 2 of the Prologue, called “For Tomorrow Without Tears.”

Lastly, players should complete the One Giant Step for Alchemy quest which introduces the elemental crucible. This quest will eventually lead players to the Elemental Crucible event. Players can do this easily by speaking to Timaeus in Mondstadt.

Timaeus will then guide players to the Thousand Winds Temple where the event will take place. After defeating a Ruin Guard, players can now begin with the event by interacting with the crucible.

Completing the event

The description for the event according to the game’s website is as follows:

“Work together with other Travelers to shovel Elemental Clots into the Elemental Crucible to advance the alchemical process. After the alchemical transmutation is completed, consume Original Resin to receive bounties, including Character EXP materials, Adventure EXP, and more. Bounties will be calculated based on each Traveler’s individual World Level. You can also obtain rewards such as Primogems, Character Ascension materials, and more by completing achievements in the Alchemy Handbook.”

It may sound simple but the reality is much different. Interacting with the crucible will automatically find partners for the player unless they already have a group.

Afterward, enemies would appear and they would have to defeat them. These enemies will drop the special “Elemental Clot” that players need to collect and place in the crucible. Once the crucible is filled, players can now collect their rewards.

Players only have 15 minutes to complete this event. This is why they should focus on health and stamina buffs. There are a number of cooking recipes that would help increase stamina and health.

This would help them avoid wasting time by healing and focus instead on defeating the enemies. Furthermore, the added stamina can make the process of running back to the crucible quicker and easier.

Players can participate in the Elemental Crucible event multiple times. Adventure Rank EXP, Companionship EXP, Experience Items, Character Ascension Items, Primogems, Enhancement Ore, and Mora are just some of the rewards players may receive.

Some of these rewards would cost Original Resin as it is needed to power up the crucible. However, players can also get free rewards. They can do this by clearing a total of 100 enemies, reach a significantly high Alchemical Efficiency level, or clear the event a number of times.

Test your luck

The event also holds another special prize through the Elemental Energy Overflowing challenge. This challenge magnifies the difficulty level of the Elemental Crucible.

Instead of 15 minutes, players must complete the event at only three minutes’ time. Doing this, however, would give players 8 Mystic Engancement Ore and 4 Hero’s Wit character material items.

The Elemental Crucible event will run from October 12 to October 19 on Genshin Impact.
