George Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney, allegedly decided to separate way because of their demanding careers, according to a tabloid.
George Clooney and Amal’s marriage has been a constant target of tabloids. Last year, one outlet claimed that they were splitting because both were busy with their careers, which was not true.
George Clooney and Amal split rumor
In February 2020, Woman’s Day published a report claiming that George Clooney and Amal barely see each other in months due to their work. At the time, they had been very busy with their career, the outlet claimed.
“Amal seemed very focused on her job as a guest professor at Columbia University, whereas George was on his own path, socializing with his mates and leaving the kids to the nanny when their mom was at work. Neither of them seemed happy with the other,” the unnamed source said.
The Clooneys were reportedly living separately. Amal was in England juggling her work and raising their twins. Meanwhile, her husband allegedly hung out at the Lake Como villa. The Ocean’s Eleven star did not understand why his wife couldn’t cut back on work and enjoy life with him, the tipster said.
It also alleged that George was a neglectful husband and was enjoying his newfound freedom after his wife allowed him to stay in Como. The Clooneys reportedly made living apart from each other a permanent arrangement.
Rumor debunked
Gossip Cop looked into the report and debunked it. One year had passed since the report was published, and George and Amal are still together.
The couple never separated. In fact, when George filmed The Midnight Sky in London, his wife, Amal, was with him. The rumor-debunking site made it clear that although they have demanding careers, it doesn’t mean that they have separated or are having marital issues.
George Clooney talked about his family fondly when he spoke with AARP The Magazine for its February/March issue. The 59-year-old star said during the pandemic; he did a lot of sewing. He sewed his kids’ and wife’s dress that tore a couple of times.
Clooney was a bachelor for a long time, and he didn’t have money. So, he knew how to repair things. In another interview, he made it clear that Amal was his priority.
“There is no question that having Amal in my life changed everything for me. It was the first time that everything that she did and everything about her was infinitely more important than anything about me,” Clooney was quoted by People as saying.
