George Clooney and Amal Clooney have formed a friendship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. In fact, the Clooneys hosted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at their home in Italy.
George Clooney And Amal Clooney hosted a dinner at their home on Lake Como for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. It happened on the weekend, and they served “several banquets” with food from their favorite restaurant.
They also rode on George’s private jet, enjoyed poolside hangouts, and a tour using the actor’s motorcycle collection, ABC News reported.
George Clooney and Amal Clooney were among the celebrities who attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding. They were also among those who joined Prince Charles’ fancy dinner at Buckingham Palace.
According to Harper’s Bazaar, the two couples’ relationship is more low-key than what most would assume.
“We live not too far from one another and we have dinners and stuff and we’re friends with them for all the reasons that you’re friends with anybody,” George explained to Daily Mail.
“They’re just really nice, fun, kind people, they’re a very loving couple, and they’re going to be great parents.”
An insider claimed that Amal Clooney was obsessed with Meghan Markle due to the latter’s fame and royalty.
“She does everything she can to spend time with her and keep in touch with her,” said a so-called source.
“Amal texts her, gives her parenting advice and how to follow fame advice. She wants to be friends with her more than anyone else because of the royalty and fame connection.”
However, one should take the obsession claim lightly because there is no piece of evidence to support it.
Also, another source said that Markle and Amal are “quite good friends” for a while. In fact, they have secret lunches and playdates.
Markle has been subjected to various criticisms since she joined the royal family. One time, George spoke up to defend the duchess.
“She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant and she is being pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was, and it’s history repeating itself,” George said.
Goerge’s comparison received mixed reactions from the netizens. While many agreed, several also disagreed because, for them, there was no point in comparing Markle with Princess Diana.
“No offence, but ain’t no one ever going to be on Princess Diana level,” one commented.
