Fans of the DOOM franchise will soon be able to enjoy last year’s entry DOOM Eternal in 4K with 60FPS support, alongside ray tracing!
The free next-gen update for DOOM Eternal arrives later this month. It will have improved visuals with ray tracing.

The anticipated patch will increase the graphics and visuals for the last year’s title. Along with that, players will have better gameplay and extra features as well.
And of course, 4K at 60 FPS or even 120 FPS will be available.
The environment during the scenes with lighting will see ray tracing making its debut on DOOM Eternal. It implies that the already incredible experience will become even more exceptional.

Here’s a breakdown regarding the next-gen update on DOOM Eternal:
Xbox Series X
- On Performance Mode, you will be able to run the game in 1800p at 120 FPS.
- On Balanced Mode, you can play in 2160p at 60 FPS.
- In Ray Tracing Mode, you will get the option of running it in 1800p at 60 FPS.
Xbox Series S
- Performance Mode – 1080p at 120 FPS
- Balanced Mode – 1440p at 60 FPS
- Ray Tracing Mode – Not available
PlayStation 5
- Performance Mode – 1584p at 120 FPS
- Balanced Mode – 2160p at 60 FPS
- Ray Tracing Mode – 1080p at 60 FPS
PC
- Ray Tracing Mode – Availability and performance will depend on the users’ PC hardware.

New video games in 2021
Meanwhile, gaming enthusiasts are currently waiting for many new titles scheduled to arrive on this calendar.
There will be lots of AAA options to choose from.
There will be names like Far Cry 6, STALKER 2, and New World regarding potential blockbusters.
Horizon Forbidden West, a new Call of Duty entry, Deathloop, Little Devil Inside, and Humankind are also on the list.
However, the extensive line-up expands even further with Stray, Cyber Shadow, and Kena: Bridge of Spirits.
Back 4 Blood, GhostWire: Tokyo, Scarlet Nexus, No More Heroes 3, and Psychonauts 2 are other crucial launches.
Several recently announced projects making their ambitious debuts soon are Glitchpunk, The Day Before, and Etched Memories.
Again, coming onto DOOM, Eternal is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
