Fortnite brings back its iconic Star Wars skins and items for a limited time to celebrate the Star Wars Day.
Fortnite developers would like all their players to celebrate the annual Star Wars Day so they are returning back some previous Star Wars themed skins and lightsabers for just a limited time.
Event details
According to Epic Games, the developers are bringing back lightsabers, iconic Star Wars characters, emotes and more back to Fortnite. Players can choose between four various lightsabers inside the in-game shop.
These includes Rey and Obi-wan’s blue lightsaber, Luke Skywalker’s green lightsaber, Mace Windu’s purple sword and Kylo Ren’s special red lightsaber.

Looking at the other time-limited Star Wars items, players can also get Rey, Kylo Ren and Sith Trooper skins during the event.
Fornite’s developers also included a “dark side” emote players can purchase in the store. Both the special skins and emote are priced at 200 V-bucks. Note that these items do not give special abilities but they will surely make players look cool while shooting each other.
These items were first introduced in Fornite after the developers promoted the film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in an event. Inside the game, lightsabers can do devastating damage to both players and buildings even if they were only available for the duration of the event. In addition, they can also deflect incoming bullets.
Event schedule
While this year’s Star Wars holiday is not like the full-blown promotional film event, it is still worth checking out while they are still available.
According to the developers, the Star Wars special items will only be available until May 5, 2020, without a specific time confirmed. Depending on what time they will cease the event, the lightsabers and skins may remain available until May 6 in some regions.
According to reports, there will also be challenges so that players can complete while the event is active.

Upcoming season
Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Season 3 is still a month away but there are reports that tell what the new season has in store for its players. There are speculations circulating online that the developers are working on a doomsday-inspired event for Fortnite’s Battle Royale.
In addition, there are also rumors of future environmental fire damage. According to leaks, players can set buildings on fire in the coming season. Fans will still have to wait until the next Fortnite season to arrive to verify if these rumors are true.
