Ubisoft Forward wasn’t just about the upcoming titles that the developer has planned. It was also about Ghost Recon Breakpoint and how the developers are looking to change the flawed game.
During Ubisoft Forward, the developer had a lot of surprises for those that bought Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The game disappointed a lot of fans, with many saying that it didn’t feel like a game coming from the renowned franchise. With the change, however, Ubisoft might be doing players of the game a favor.
New AI allies coming
One of the biggest criticisms of the game was that it felt empty, with the players going alone in the game’s world. The biggest change coming to the game will arrive this July 15 as part of a free major update.
The update will add AI squadmates to the game, and these are Fury, Fixit, and Vasily. They can be activated and dismissed at will once players can reach the main island of the game. What’s even better is that the AI squadmates can be customized whichever way the player wants to.
They can also proceed with missions the way players instruct them to. If players choose to go stealth, they can equip silences. They can also be issued direct commands. This adds a new depth to the game as coordinating the squad now becomes a key feature in Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
What else is new
The update will also bring in new tweaks for the Gunsmith. There will be a deeper and more varied approach to how players can customize weapons in the game. By allowing the extra customization features, players can fully cater to their team and their load-outs depending on how they want to approach operations.
Ubisoft announced that the new changes would be available during the game’s free-to-play weekend, which will take place from July 16-20. Moreover, a new Resistance Live event will be available to players from July 19-29.
On top of all this, Ubisoft also revealed some new details about Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Watchdogs Legion at the Ubisoft Forward stream.
With the changes coming to Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Ubisoft might be able to get more players back on the game once again. Since there’s a free weekend coming up, those who’ve yet to try it should check out what all the buzz is about. Now is the perfect time to get in the game.
