Giannis Antetokounmpo claims that his agents will find a way to make him win whether it will be in the Bucks or other teams in the league.
The successful regular season record of the Milwaukee Bucks is already part of the NBA’s history. They were the fastest team to clinch a Playoffs spot since 1984. It says a lot about a team that rose to the conversation just in the past couple of years. Some say their path to success was a shortcut while others say they earned it.
Without taking any credit from the team, Giannis is, without a doubt, the center for the success of the team. However, the record means little because the team failed to convert in the Playoffs. They also did that in a pretty uncharacteristic fashion of going down four games to one.
Nothing can be changed anymore. What’s been written will go down as part of the history books of the NBA. All eyes are now instead of where Giannis will go this offseason.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is considering going to other teams
Without saying it explicitly, Giannis hasn’t committed just yet for a long term future with the Milwaukee Bucks. In his back-to-back MVP award interview, Giannis said,
“I have two great agents that help with that, and I know they’re going to put me in the best situation to be successful with the team or another team.”
Based on this statement alone, it could be said that Giannis isn’t closing his doors yet for meetings with other teams. There have been speculations, as soon as the Bucks exited the bubble, that Giannis will walk and find greener pastures somewhere else.
However, just a couple of days after, Antetokounmpo met with the Governor of the Milwaukee Bucks. He said,
But at the end of the day, I had a great conversation with the owner. And as I know so far, we’re on the same page. And I want to be in Milwaukee for the rest of my career. But at the end of the day, we’ve got to want the same thing, which is a championship.
So which is which?
Based on the two statements above, there are a lot of things going on in the mind of Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, only one thing for sure is that he wants to win an NBA championship. Michael Jordan didn’t win his first NBA trophy until he was 28. Giannis is just 25 this season, and he’ll have so much time to improve his game to win.
