The second mission, Combination Mission, dissolved the girls’ original cells before regrouping them into 11 new groupings.
With the sixth episode of the program, Girls Planet 999, there are only 54 competitors left after the elimination of 45 candidates.
The newest show started with a sneak peek at what’s to come, and some performances stood out, eliciting passionate reactions from the judges. At the same time, the mentors chastised other competitors for not performing to their full ability.
The girls gathered in the main room as the main episode started, where the presenter, Yeo Jingoo, welcomed them and introduced the new assignment.
He stated that the previous episode’s Top 9 rankings had been reset. The format had been changed to eliminate cell voting, meaning that the ladies would now be judged on their individual performances rather than those of their cells or groups.
Elimination task with a twist
The show’s second mission is called Combination Mission, and it involves disbanding the girls’ original cells and regrouping them into 11 new groups.

Each group will include competitors in the ratio 3:6:9, with six distinct groups having three members each, three different groups having six members each, and two different groups having nine members each.
After that, the competitors choose their teams according to their current rankings, with the Top 9 picking their teams first, followed by the remainder of the contestants.
Following that, it was revealed that 30 candidates would be removed from the 54 following the second worldwide vote and ranking based on this round.
This implies that just 24 females will be left after this assignment. Because this is no longer a group-based ranking, ten of the lowest-ranked females from each K, C, and J group would be removed.
Ranking and scoring
The females would be gathered and placed according to their preferences for the mission. They will have to compose the rap, choreograph the dance, and work on the song’s arrangement independently.
The mission would provide 270,000 points to the one group out of eleven that stood out. If a three-person team made it to the top, each member would get one-third of the total points, or 90,000 points.
If the group had six members, each would get one-sixth of the points, or 45,000 apiece. Finally, if a nine-person team made it to the top, each member would get one-ninth of the total points, or 30,000 points. The new Top 9 competitors will be chosen based on their overall score.
The girls’ performances
The first three vocal position members were assigned to sing 2PM’s My House, while the second three rap position members performed Show Me The Money’s VVS.
Woo Wonjae’s We Are was gonna be performed by the third group of three rap position members. Taeyeon’s All About Love was gonna be performed by the fourth group of three vocal position members.
The fifth group of three vocalists was supposed to sing ITZY’s Mafia in the Morning, while the sixth group of three dancers performed Meghan Trainor’s No Excuses.
The following three groups were also made up of six people. The seventh group was to perform BTOB’s Missing You with a six-member vocal and rap position group. The eighth group consisted of six vocalists who would sing IU’s My Sea.
The ninth group consisted of six dancing position members to perform Lee Sunjee’s Fate, which confused competitors who were unsure how the soulful tune could be transformed into a dance performance.
The tenth group consisted of nine dancers who would perform Blackpink’s Ice Cream (with Selena Gomez), while the final group consisted of nine dancers who would perform Little Mix’s Salute.
Judges were concerned about the competitors’ practice performance since it lacked force.
The judges and mentors were teary-eyed after the performance, and the program stopped just as the group was about to begin their performance.
