Cory Barlog recently announced on his Twitter account that he had bought an Xbox Series X in preparation for Halo Infinite. Barlog did not make an unpacking video since the item was still in its original packaging.
Corey Barlog is looking forward to the game’s release in 2021
Barlog didn’t say whether he’s more excited about Halo Infinite’s narrative or multiplayer aspects, but it’s apparent that he’s looking forward to the game’s release in 2021.
Many gamers have been unable to get their newest consoles due to the popularity of the next-generation consoles and the ongoing scalping. Xbox Series X/S consoles, like PS5 devices, are still hard to come by, and Cory Barlog may have been looking for one long before he found one.
Given that he’s working on PS5 material, it’s safe to assume that the God of War director now owns both next-gen systems.
A Tri-Force from The Legend of Zelda series is shown next to Cory Barlog’s brand-new Xbox Series X. Through Barlog’s Twitter, this link between Nintendo and Xbox extends to PlayStation, demonstrating a feeling of togetherness across systems that may otherwise be divided.
God of War and Halo are two titles that have just entered Fortnite, so it won’t be long until Link is added to close the gap.
It’s unknown which Xbox officials have acquired a PS5 to play blockbuster PS5 exclusives like God of War. Still, there’s evidence that senior executives at the business play games on the rival system.

PlayStation games were complimented by Phil Spencer
Phil Spencer, an Xbox executive, has previously complimented PlayStation games, notably The Last of Us Part 2, for which he thanked Naughty Dog and Neil Druckmann. After the release of Halo Infinite, Cory Barlog may have similar lovely comments for Xbox.
While some PlayStation fans may see Cory Barlog’s purchase of an Xbox Series X as a sign of waning devotion, it’s always a good idea to keep an eye on what the competition is releasing.
Recent Xbox game showcases have offered Xbox fans a glimpse into the bright future that lies ahead for the Xbox Series X, which may be another reason for Cory Barlog’s purchase choice. Barlog hasn’t said which other forthcoming Xbox titles he’s excited about.
Cory Barlog and other Halo enthusiasts will have to wait until December for the release of Halo Infinite. In the interim, Barlog hasn’t said what games he’d be playing on the platform, although some in his community anticipate him to peruse the Xbox Game Pass selections.
Cory Barlog’s Xbox Series X announcement drew praise from several industry heavyweights on Twitter, including Devolver Digital and Xbox.
On December 8, Halo Infinite will be released on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
