An extremely skilled artist displays a stunning colored picture of Kratos from the highly anticipated God of War: Ragnarok.
With a full gameplay preview for God of War: Ragnarok at the PlayStation Showcase earlier this September, fans are as eager as ever for the highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s God of War remake.
Understandably so, given that Sony Santa Monica’s reinvention of the franchise earned a 94 Metacritic score and a slew of Game Of The Year nominations.
A tormented Spartan warrior
Ragnarok is set to follow the tale of Kratos, a tormented Spartan warrior, and his now-older son Atreus, with the two interacting and fighting several Norse gods.
God of War: Ragnarok is supposed to be the last installment in the franchise’s Norse narrative, which is a little surprising given that it is just the second Norse game.
Nonetheless, with the forthcoming sequel scheduled to hit theaters in 2022, fans have started producing amazing fan art to commemorate the upcoming film.
RammsteinAro’s stunning artwork
RammsteinAro, a Reddit user, has produced an awe-inspiring picture of Kratos, the series’ protagonist.
RammsteinAro’s stunning artwork, posted to the God of War Reddit forum, shows a menacing-looking Kratos dressed in highly sculpted armor and wielding his famous Leviathan ax.
The vibrant colors and meticulous attention to detail bring the Ghost of Sparta’s image to life.
Other Reddit users have lauded RammsteinAro’s effort, which is understandable. As of this writing, the drawing has over 800 upvotes and has sparked a lively debate among the community.
Fans are applauding RammsteinAro’s version for its incredible attention to detail and evident skill.
Well-presented in the artwork
Kratos’ physically intimidating height and appearance from God of War: Ragnarok is well-represented in the artwork.
With God of War being such a popular and acclaimed game, it’s no surprise that fans are eager to see where the narrative goes in the sequel.
God of War: Ragnarok will have a new director, with Cory Barlog, who directed the remake, stepping away to focus on an undisclosed project, and veteran series designer Eric Williams taking over.

Fans shouldn’t be concerned since Williams has a lot of expertise with the property, and the God of War series has gone through many directors over its long history.
God of War: Ragnarok wasn’t the only highly anticipated game shown during the PlayStation Showcase.
For example, Insomniac Games teased the PS5 exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 with a stunningly cinematic video.
An incredible recreation of the classic Bioware RPG Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has also been unveiled. Still, if artworks like RammsteinAro’s are any indication, God of War: Ragnarok was the show’s highlight for many fans.
The PS4 and PS5 versions of God of War: Ragnarok will be released in 2022.
