Godfall’s system requirements are now upon the gaming industry. The looter shooter has some steep system requirements for PC gamers.
Counterplay released Godfall’s system requirements, and low-end gamers won’t get a shot at it. The minimum requirements need a GTX 1060 6GB, at the very least, with 12GB RAM. The recommended numbers need at least an upper-midrange PC to run.
Godfall would need beefy hardware
Godfall is another much-awaited title from Capcom, working out to be a bombastic looter melee and shooter title. It’s stylish, fast, and it seems it would need a powerful rig to boot.
Prepare to ascend on PC! The PC specs for #Godfall are available now.

The minimum system requirements for the game are as follows:
- OS: Windows 10
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5-6600
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
- RAM: 12GB
The recommended system requirements for the game are as follows:
- OS: Windows 10
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7-8700
- GPU: AMD Radeon 5700 XT 8GB or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti 11GB
- RAM: 16GB
The game also needs a consistent internet connection to play, likely using always-on DRM. There is no indication of what sort of performance players can expect with these numbers. It seems the answer is available within the community.
CounterPlay’s community manager, ThanatosNoa, gave some information on Reddit. According to the clarification, the recommended system requirements are targeting 1080p 60 fps on high. This comment takes the cake for all the wrong reasons.
Community unhappy with the game’s system requirements
So far, Godfall’s system requirements are irking the community. The reveal of the 1080Ti 11GB with 16GB of RAM is becoming a controversial take.
The requirements are too high for a simple 1080p run, considering what other games need.
For starters, Microsoft Flight Simulator only needs Radeon RX 590 or GeForce GTX 970 on high.
Some community members even say that their GTX 1070 can handle the game on high. All these numbers from a game that the community perceives can melt PCs.
The numbers Godfall asks for in its requirements lead to a few conclusions. First, the game is likely one of the most demanding games available.
PC gamers targeting 4K output will likely need an RTX3080 if they want to run on high or ultra.
The other possibility is that the game is poorly optimized, which makes more sense. Godfall’s design seems to optimize consoles better, considering the limited horsepower a PS5 will have.
Bad PC optimization is standard for games that focus on the console first. Some notorious examples include Horizon Zero Dawn and the Final Fantasy titles.
Godfall’s system requirements can be problematic, but more updates will likely come out at launch.
