About the drama
The new Netflix original drama series Women of Crisis is expected to have the typical elements. It will faithfully follow the makjang drama laws: such as a kind but the frustrating female lead. A second-generation chaebol who is so affectionate that he only has eyes for the heroine. Secrets behind birth are revealed at a crucial moment. And kimchi-slapping moments while still providing viewers vicarious satisfaction and catharsis by simultaneously straying away from cliches.
Scriptwriter Kim Soo Ah wrote the drama. She also worked on the Whatcha Wearin’? and I Like It Hot. Director Lee Won Suk helmed the drama series, who also directed the How to Use Guys with Secret Tips.
If she confirms the new project, it will be her first project after years since KBS 2TV’s When the Camellia Blooms and the movie The Most Ordinary Love.
