Good Bones season 5 is all set to air next week. Fans will have to expect to see some changes and a look into the personal lives of the mother-daughter duo.
Good news for all avid viewers of Good Bones. The fifth season is nearing its premiere date, which means more renovating is coming up.
When is season 5 dropping?
HGTV announced that Good Bones season 5 will be back on the small screen starting Tuesday, June 9.
Fans will get to see once again mother and daughter Karen E. Laine, and Mina Starsiak continue their passion of transforming properties in and around their beloved hometown Indianapolis.
Karen and Mina are the co-founders of a house flipping company called Two Chicks and a Hammer. Before doing the business, Karen worked as a defense attorney while Mina was a part-time waitress.
They built their company in 2007 after Mina bought a house that required some remodeling. Together, the two flipped it, and that’s when they found a new passion out from it.
What’s coming up in season 5?
According to Parade, the fifth season of the home remodeling reality TV series is going to bring some changes.
To start, Karen has retired from the company. They made the announcement via their Instagram account back in September 2019.
“After a long career of practicing law and revitalizing homes and neighborhoods, Karen is retiring from Two Chicks and a Hammer,” the post wrote.
However, fans will have nothing to worry about as the co-host will still be part of the HGTV show. She will still be appearing and guest-starring periodically to show what she’s up to now that she is retired.
As revealed, Karen will be putting down the hammer to enjoy more of other things in her life, including spending time with her husband Roger and hanging with her chickens. Fans can also expect to see some of her DIY creations for the show.

Mina addressed her mother’s retirement by thanking her for helping her build Two Chicks and a Hammer.
“Although she is taking a step back from the day to day operations, a piece of her will always live on with this company as we carry on with our mission of ‘revitalizing Indianapolis one property at a time,'” Mina wrote.
Season 5 is also going to feature Mina’s “rollercoaster” IVF journey. In March, she announced that she is pregnant, and her son Jack will finally have a sibling sometime in September.
Moreover, it has also been said that the fifth season will renovate a house that is rumored to be formerly an old biker bar. And as they go through the rubbish and rubble, they will see some traces of the home’s wild past.
