Google Pixel 4a: New leaked pricing could give the new iPhone SE a run for its money

The Google Pixel 4a’s launch may still be days from now, but it’s already posing a massive threat to the 2020 iPhone SE.

The announcement of the Pixel 4a is getting more imminent by the day. As it is, the folks from the search giant are already on all fours hyping up its release. Today, a new leak has surfaced in the wild that could finally land the phone ahead of the mid-range competition, which is ultimately headed at the moment by Apple’s new iPhone SE.

Far cheaper than the new iPhone SE

According to reliable sources, the Google Pixel 4a could less than the cheapest variant of the iPhone SE 2020. These sources claim that the upcoming phone’s 128GB variant could launch with a USD 349 price tag, while its 64GB version might arrive with an even attractive price just USD 299.

The Google Pixel 4a’s newest pricing development considerably less than the iPhone SE 2020’s USD 399. It is also interesting to note that the basic edition of the latter only packs 64GB. Its more storage-filed versions are even considered to be pricier than its Google Pixel counterpart.

The impending launch of the Google Pixel 4a could prove to be the rejuvenation of the team behind the iconic series needs at the moment. With the previous discontentment shown on the marketing side of the Pixel 4, alongside the reception of the crowd, the Pixel 4a might be the boost it richly deserves.

Rumored Pixel 4a features and specifications

The Pixel 4a is expected to pack robust mid-range internals. At the helm of these features is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730 SoC. Apart from the chipset, the phone could also launch with 6GB of RAM and a Titan M security chip.

The forthcoming smartphone from the Pixel series is also tipped to feature a 5.8-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. Also, the phone’s screen is likely to feature a hole-punch, one that will house its single front-facing snapper.

Around its back, the Pixel 4a could sport a single 12.2MP camera, plus the usually mounted fingerprint sensor. Other key features that could launch with the hotly-anticipated phone are a 3,080mAh battery and an 8MP selfie shooter.

Unlike the previous generation, the Google Pixel 4a series may not arrive with a 4a XL variant. Google might have already nixed the model to streamline the series’ development process, alongside its rumored lineup simplification.

The Google Pixel 4a is expected to be unveiled on June 3.
