Google Pixel 4a surfaces on French online retailers’ sites, key colors revealed

The Pixel 4a isn’t only launching in a black model.

The Google Pixel 4a could very well be around the corner. The phone has now been spotted on two French online retailers’ sites, revealing its key color variants and pricing down the line.

Blue is back in the fold

According to Ordimedia and eStock.fr, the phone is slated to arrive in two paint jobs – Just Black and Blue. The inclusion of the blue color variant in the equation startles the most as previous reports indicated that Google’s upcoming mid-range phone was only to be released in a black model.

The Just Black edition features the model number GA02099-FR, while the Blue version is listed with a GA02101-FR model number. Also, both models are shown to feature 128GB of onboard storage, with an estimated delivery “within 8 to 12 business days” from the eStock.fr retailer. On the other hand, Ordimedia listed an ETA of July 7.

Take it with a grain of salt

The aforementioned delivery dates might not be too accurate, especially for most who followed the development of the Pixel 4a closely. As per recent reports, the Pixel 4a is set to be announced on July 13.

The price tags from both retailers were also provided. eStock.fr listed the smartphone at EUR 506, while the Ordimedia has it for EUR 441. The same can be said with the phone’s French pricing. For one, these price tags are a bit high when compared to previous speculations.

If we are to take things into a perspective, it is possible that these listings could only be “placeholders” for these websites, right until the Pixel 4a finally becomes official.

Pixel 4a: The new iPhone SE’s rival

The huge anticipation surrounding the release of the Pixel 4a is only understandable. Dubbed as the new iPhone SE’s closest rival, Google’s forthcoming mid-range will also be its cheapest offering to date – one that could potentially give the latter a run for its money.

In terms of specifications, the Pixel 4a is also a powerhouse. Rumors are rife that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730 chipset and could launch with a 5.81-inch OLED screen with an FHD+ resolution, alongside a display cutout that should house an 8MP selfie snapper.

The Pixel 4a is also tipped to feature a 12.2MP primary camera on its rear, which should be stellar given that this one is coming from the established Pixel series.

The handset is likewise heavily rumored to be listed with a 3,080mAh battery and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is expected to ship with the latest Android 10.0.
