Google’s Pixel 5 has appeared online in the form of leaked renders showing an early prototype of the smartphone. This render certainly has a unique-looking design.
Although we are still waiting on the official launch of Google Pixel 4a, many rumors claimed that the new smartphone coming is reminiscent of Pixel 4.
The claims won’t stop the rumor mill from beating out new leaks related to Google’s Pixel 5. According to Android Authority, phone accessory store Pigtou has published what it claims are leaked CAD-based renders of the Pixel 5.
The renders below are based on CAD schematics and show what Google’s upcoming compact Pixel 5 could look like. Google has not yet confirmed claims, but fans are very excited!
Pixel 5 claims based on leaked render
The first thing you’ll notice with the renders above is that they make the smartphone look a lot like the Google Pixel 4a. Do you agree?
This render has a unique-looking design. However, it has been reported that the texture finished on both frames and the rear glass will be the same as the previous flagship.
The dual-lens camera module features the same as the Google Pixel 4. In addition, the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and the single selfie camera located in a left-aligned display cutout are similar to what we’ve seen on Pixel 4a leaks.
If we are to consolidate these renders, consider the rumors that the Google Pixel 5 could ship with a mid-range chipset, you won’t get anything close to a flagship phone. This also looks more like an upgraded Pixel 4a than a real follow-up to the Pixel 4.
Many people were not convinced by the idea they are getting from these renders. But we’ll never know until the official launch. Let us just hope Google contains the hardware into a smaller bezel and adds new upgraded and useful features.
These renders might not be legit
We know very little about the Pixel 5, and the renders might not be legit. We still have no idea what the front of the phone looks like or the material Google will use for the smartphone.
However, as reports have claimed, the Pixel 5 will be introduced in either late October or November. There will be a series of units, so more than one model is expected.
The phone will presumably come with Android 11 pre-installed. The standard model should cost $699, while the bigger one could be $799.
