Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will seemingly become more emotional than ever.
Ahead of the release of Guardians of the Galaxy 3, the film’s cast member confessed a secret about its script.
With the arrival of Black Widow, the MCU Phase 4 will surely release more movies after getting postponed numerous times. Now that James Gunn is back on board, he made sure that his return would also bring something for the cast and fans.
In a new interview with Collider, Karen Gillan, who plays the role of Nebula, shared a story about her script reading. According to the actress, the script for the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 remains Gunn’s best work as of the writing.
She even confessed that the script sent her and Pom Klementieff on an emotional trip.
“We read it together and we both cried and laughed, but there was full tears. It’s incredible, I think it’s James’ strongest work yet with the Guardians and it’s just brilliant. It’s brilliant and it’s emotional and it’s funny and it’s all of those things that you want,” she said.
Guardians of the Galaxy 3’s script full of emotions?
While Gillan’s comment surely sounds surprising, it was not the first time the script made someone cry. Even the director and writer, James Gunn, said that he cried a lot while working on the script.
Gunn finished doing the script before he was fired and completed it before 2021 began.
A fan asked the director how much fans are going to cry once they watched the film. Gunn said he has no clue but admitted that he wept while writing it.
He did not detail how the film would make everyone cry. However, the threequel is expected to tell what happened to Gamora. During the end of Avengers: Endgame, Star-Lord and his team seemingly started to look for her with Thor.
Meanwhile, other rumors suggested that Rocket’s story would stir everyone’s emotions. The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 explored the trauma he had been suffering from during his verbal exchange with Yondu.
In addition, Gunn previously warned that the next Guardians of the Galaxy film would be the last film for the original team. He also hinted that it will feature at least one death.
Thus, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will sooner or later make fans buy tons of tissues and cry hard.
