Gwen Stefani and her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale co-parent their three sons after their split, and the pandemic makes their arrangement more challenging.
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale remain amicable after their divorce for their three children. During the pandemic, Stefani and her boys spent the lockdown with her boyfriend, Blake Shelton. It seemed that it wasn’t 100% okay with Rossdale.
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s co-parenting arrangement during the pandemic
Gavin Rossdale spoke about the challenges of co-parenting with Gwen Stefani during the pandemic. In an interview with SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation in April, he described his custody arrangement with his ex-wife.
Rossdale said he spent the first two weeks with their sons Kingston, 13, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, 6. After that, the three boys moved to Oklahoma and spent the lockdown with Stefani and Blake Shelton.
Rossdale considered the “split custody” a “real big dilemma.” According to him, their kids could be exposed to the virus with so much back and forth.
“I know who’s around me — no one is,” Rossdale said, as quoted by People.
“And I know who’s bringing me the coronavirus — no one is. But you send your kids out to someone else, and they come back to you and now you’re prone to whoever they’re with.”
“It’s a tricky one for all divorced parents,” he added.
Stefani and Blake Shelton self-isolating with her kids
Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani’s boyfriend, Blake Shelton, made a virtual appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. During his guesting, he shared some details on how they kept themselves isolated from the world during the lockdown.
He said they didn’t go outside his home. His mom and step-dad only lived 10 miles from his house, but he had never seen them since the middle of March. He also shared what they did to keep themselves busy during the lockdown.
“We learned how to make bread real good, sourdough bread,” Shelton said. “Literally it’s like Little House on the Prairie here. She makes bread, I’ve been building a fence and gardening. We’re pretty self-sufficient out here.”
Gwen and Blake’s wedding update
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been dating for a couple of years already. According to sources, the lovers are already planning for their wedding.
An insider told Us Weekly that they will have two weddings in the fall. The separate ceremonies will be held in Los Angeles and Oklahoma.
“Oklahoma gives the couple more privacy and the possibilities are endless for a wedding reception people will talk about for years,” the insider said.
