Hades looks to be the next indie smash hit coming from Supergiant Games. The game will launch sometime this fall for the Switch and PC. The developers have recently made an announcement regarding the game’s two available platforms and what it means for cross-save.
In a tweet, Supergiant Games have confirmed that cross-save won’t be available between the Switch and PC versions when the game launches later this year. For those unfamiliar, cross-save is a feature that allows players to enjoy the game on both platforms. Players can jump in and out of the versions they own.
According to the developers, they have encountered a few setbacks regarding the feature. The good news is that while delayed, the feature isn’t canceled. As per the developer, cross-save will be available in a future update. For now, it would be best for players to get a copy of the game first.
Cross-save is important for some players. Those who have early access can transfer their saves to the Switch version. This means they won’t have to start from scratch once the Switch version arrives. Hopefully, players don’t have to wait too long for the feature.
Hades is a roguelike action game from the creators of Transistor, Pyre, and Bastion. Players will take on the role of Zagreus, the god of the underworld’s immortal son. The goal is to make out of the underworld. Along the way are countless enemies and obstacles that players will have to face.
Each time the player dies, Zagreus will respawn back in his room. As players progress through the game, Zagreus will be able to receive gifts from the gods to aid in his journey. It’s a tough game that’s all about trial and error. Since being revealed at the recent Nintendo Partner Showcase, it has been highly anticipated already.
Hades is looking to be another smash-hit from Supergiant Games. Players have commented that the game looks fun and exciting. What’s certain is that there’s a lot of hack and slash action involved in the upcoming title. Fans would love to hear more from the developer soon.
