The official Twitter account of Haikyuu recently confirmed that its manga would conclude on July 20 with the release of its chapter 402.
Earlier this year, some of the most popular manga series, The Promised Neverland, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba ended. Now, Haikyuu will join these two titles, and fans are certainly going to shed a tear.
Haikyuu recently entered its final arc
Not long ago, Haikyuu’s manga entered its final arc. This took place after its creator Haruichi Furudate went on a one-week hiatus. As soon as the last arc kicked off, fans were instantly shocked with a lot of big revelations.
Case in point, the manga has flung itself several years into the future for its finale. The members of the Karasuno Volleyball team have already graduated from high school in the final arc.
Some members went to college, and the others decided to go for higher education. Meanwhile, Shouyou Hinata and Tobio Kageyama, have both pursued their volleyball career.

Final arc features Black Jackals and Schweiden Adlers match
Recent chapters of Haikyuu’s manga have witnessed some scenes of Hinata and Kageyama’s highly-anticipated rematch. Some of the skilled players introduced during Haikyuu’s massive Nationals saga are also involved in this big game.
Hinata’s team Black Jackals, comprises Kotaro Bokuto, Kiyoomi Sakusa, and Atsumu Miya. Against them are Kageyama and his team Scweiden Adlers, consisting of Wakatoshi Ushijima, Korai Hoshiumi, and Fukuro Hirugami.
Haikyuu manga ends on July 20
Now, it seems that the conclusion between this fiery match will be revealed as the manga gears up for its final chapter. Haikyuu’s official Twitter account confirmed the news, stating:
“In the joint issue of Weekly Shonen Jump (33-34) next week on July 20, Haikyuu will reach its end after 8 and a half years. Until the very end, let’s run forward with all our might! I would appreciate it if we could all run together!”
In honor of the final chapter, the tweet was further accompanied by a piece of artwork. It featured Hinata in gear standing next to Kageyama while they were in middle school.

What and who to expect in the final chapter
Reportedly, the finale, chapter 402, will have 28 pages and a fully colored spread. Aside from unveiling the result of the volleyball match, it will also cap off the series that will hopefully mention the Olympics.
Since raw scans for the chapter are still unavailable, it remains uncertain who will appear in the final chapter. However, fans will certainly get a glance at their favorite duo, Shouyou Hinata and Tobio Kageyama.
