‘Haikyuu!! To the Top’ midseason airs in a few days, battle for the gold is on

Supposed to air on July 2020, the second half of the fourth installment of Haikyuu!! To the Top will drop on MBS in October. Moreover, the delay is due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Produced by Production IG, the fourth installment of Haikyuu!! To the Top premiered via the Super Animeism block on MBS in January 2020. Fans are now excited about its return on October 2.

Haikyuu is a Japanese manga series that follows the story of Shoyo Hinata. Shoyo dreams of becoming a volleyball star. And his story is realized in this highly emotional anime sports comedy.

Midseason series spoilers

Looking back, the first half of the season featured Shoyo, and the team made it to the first round of the Spring Tournament. Now, the team will be facing the real challenge when they go into the nationals.

Haikyuu!! To the Top season 4 part 2 features the battle for the gold between Inarizaki High School and Karasuno High School. Shoyo’s excitement about their upcoming match is clear.

Moreover, he hopes to unleash an amazing serve against the Miya Twins. Atsumo and Osamo Miya are the star players for Inarizaki High and have great chemistry on the court.  Osamo is the best wing spiker for Inarizaki. Atsumo is the starting setter for Inarizaki, and his school is proud to have him as part of the Japan National Volleyball Team.

More than the action-packed games, the story is more about the mind games each team plays to better the other in the court. Besides, the second half of the installment contains episodes 14 – 25.

“Haikyuu!! To the Top” cast

Sooner or later, avid fans will see the return of Kaito Ishikawa, Rie Sugar, Seigo Yokota, Toshiki Masuda, Nobuyori Sagara, Ayumu Murase, Yuu Hayashi, Kouki Uchiyama, and Ryouta Takeuchi reprising their roles.

Additionally, joining them are the Inarizaki High School players with voice over from Mamoru Miyano as Atsumu Miya, Hideaki Kabumoto as Osamu Miya, Kenji Nojima as Kita Shinsuke, Jun Kasama as Ojiro Aran, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Suna Rintaro, Takumu Miyazono as Omimi Ren, Yamamoto Shouma as Ginjima Hotoshi, and Yoshiyuki Matsuura as Akagi Michinari.

“Haikyuu” season 5

As expected, the much anticipated season 5 of Haikyuu has no release date yet. However, the producers have confirmed that there will indeed be the fifth installment anytime soon, though there is no synopsis of the coming season.

Reportedly, the season would follow Shoyo qualifying for the nationals.  If writers would follow the Tokyo Nationals story arc, avid fans will see another 2-cour part with 24 or 25 episodes for the fifth installment.
