Since the announcement of a live-action The Last of Us series under HBO, fans have been hyped. Especially after Pedro Pascal’s addition.
Although The Last of Us TV show will be mostly based on the iconic gaming franchise, it will be somewhat different. Neil Druckmann recently shared an update on the project.
Game of Thrones alums Bella Ramsey and The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal will play Ellie and Joel.
Early details on ‘The Last of Us’ TV series
Like IGN, Craig Mazin, alongside Neil Druckmann, said that The Last of Us series would be based on Naughty Dog’s original games.
However, there will be several changes, as per Druckmann.
“As far as the superficial things, like should [a character] wear the same plaid shirt or the same red shirt? They might or might not appear in it. That’s way less important to us than getting the core of who these people are and the core of their journey.”
It means that there will be modifications in dialogues in various episodes of the first season.
HBO’s The Last of Us TV show received a green signal last November.
As per the project’s official description, Joel’s character will be seen as a tough survivor. He gets hired to smuggle a 14-year-old Ellie away from a quarantine area.
Initially, he is not attached to her, but eventually, a bond develops between the two. A brutal journey then follows them both going through various obstacles and fatal situations.
It will be interesting to see the end product when it eventually finished filming. Die-hard fans will be hoping for a great experience, just like they had with Naughty Dog’s mindboggling installments since 2013.
