Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku manga, which was launched in 2018, will finally end with its 127th chapter.
On Monday, the 126th chapter revealed that the next chapter would debut on January 25.
Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku centers on Gabimaru. He was once exalted as the strongest ninja, but he violated his village’s laws as he now quit his trade. He then claims he has nothing left to live for after being captured.
However, he has inadvertently survived multiple executions due to his superhuman training levels, even from attempts at beheading to burning at stake.
Sagiri Asaemon, the executioner, tells him that he has a lingering attachment to life and he has to find the elixir immortality to win his acquittal.
The start of Gabimaru and Yamada’s journey
In January 2018, Kaku launched the manga on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website and app. And in December 2020, Shueisha released the manga’s 12th compiled book volume.
Through its Shonen Jump service, Viz Media releases the main Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku manga digitally.
Simultaneously, through the MANGA Plus courtesy of Shueisha, it will also be releasing the manga.
In November 2020, Viz Media shipped the fifth volume, and it currently releases the manga in print.
A spinoff of the manga titled Hell’s Paradise: Ōhashi launched Jigokuraku on Shonen Jump+ on January 20, 2020. The spinoff has the same title, but instead of kanji, it has hiragana.
Why is it that the manga hasn’t received anime adaptation?
After the manga serialization for almost three years and over 2.5 million copies sold as of August 2020, no anime adaption yet has been announced or even rumors shared.
Hell’s Paradise might not have the popularity required for an adaptation, although it has many potentials to be great anime.
In 2018, Hell’s Paradise was Jump+’s most popular series, but the comedy manga Spy x Family overtaken its position.

Meanwhile, being serialized on Jump+ may be a limitation to adaptation. Only two Jump+ manga have been adapted since the publication’s inception. These were the 2019’s Astra Lost in Space and 2020’s Rifle is Beautiful.
