Henry Cavill felt 'awkward' at 'Justice League' press tour

Henry Cavill starred as Superman in the DC Extended Universe.

As The Witcher Season 2 resumes its production, Henry Cavill recently sat down for an interview. He talked about his most recent stint on Enola Holmes, wherein he played the role of Sherlock Holmes.

Alongside the discussions about his experiences in becoming the iconic Sherlock, the 37-year-old actor also shared some of his encounters with his previous projects. He recalled the “super awkward” moment he faced ahead of the Justice League‘s premiere in 2017, according to Digital Spy.

Henry Cavill deemed it as a “weird situation”

Speaking in an episode of Empire podcast, Henry Cavill remembered his “confusing presence” during the 2017 press tour for Justice League. He explained that no one knew what they wanted in terms of Superman’s presence in the film.

The actor stated that no one originally knew that Superman would be in the DC film. However, “they” asked him to be on the press tour, alongside the cast members of the material.

He said that it became an “impossible scenario” for him, adding that it was “super awkward” for him. Cavill then added that he thought of saying, “I was here for moral support” and “I made the tea.”

Eventually, though, the public reportedly realized that his Superman character would be on Justice League.

He won’t shoot new scenes for Zack Snyder’s new “Justice League”

Earlier in September, Henry Cavill denied the rumors that he will shoot new scenes in Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League for HBO Max. He dismissed the notion that Warner Bros. would bring him back, along with celebrities Ray Fisher, Gal Gadot, and Ben Affleck. He continued that they will not work on new materials for the upcoming cut.

The Mission: Impossible – Fallout star clarified that his set for the role “has been already done.” He then noted that he is “looking forward” to the watching party “just like any other fan.” He, however, released his new look for the new season of The Witcher.

About “The Witcher” Season 2

The Witcher Season 2 resumed its production in August. This comes after they took a hiatus due to the pandemic, according to Entertainment Weekly. The main star then teased his followers after posting two photos of Geralt on Instagram earlier this week.

The publication said that the second season, which will have eight episodes, will likely drop on Netflix in 2021. Alongside Henry Cavill, his co-stars Freya Alla and Anta Clalotra will reprise their roles for the next installment.
