As promised, Nintendo held a Pokemon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra stream. The developers spilled a lot of details about the upcoming DLC content, and players have a lot to look forward to as well.
After the long wait, the Pokemon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra DLC is finally nearing release. Nintendo revealed a hefty selection of info at the recent stream for the game. With it, fans have become more excited to get their hands on the latest outing. Here’s everything we know so far.
Release date
The DLC will be releasing in less than a month on Oct. 22. Those who have the battle pass will be able to get the DLC at launch. Players should know that they can buy the DLC separately too.
Gameplay details
Along with the new region to explore comes a selection of new story and gameplay elements as well. The DLC is confirmed to be adding new Pokemon, a new character, and more. As for the Pokemon, the new ones are Regidrago, Regieleki, and then Calyrex. All of these are new legendaries.
In even better news, the Pokemon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra DLC will also be introducing Galarian forms of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. On top of all this, players will be able to catch every Legendary Pokemon in the series through the expansion.
As for new features, the expansion introduces Dynamax Adventures. Players can team up with up to three players. In it, they will explore different paths inside the Pokemon Dens. At the end of the path lies a Legendary Pokemon waiting to be challenged. This is where players will be able to capture all of the previously released Legendaries.
The stream also revealed that a complete version of the game would be launching in November. However, the release date for the said game is yet to be announced. The complete edition will come with both DLCs as well as the base game. The package will be the best choice for those that have yet to play the game.
The Pokemon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra is not just a simple DLC for the latest outing of Pokemon. Like The Isle of Armor, the expansion is going to add in a ton of story elements, a new region, and of course, new Pokemon to collect. Players should prepare themselves by leveling up their current party.
