‘Hitman 3’ will be Epic Games exclusive on PC

IO Interactive revealed that Hitman 3 would be tied up to Epic Games. However, the exclusive deal will only last for 12 months.

According to the developers, they managed to create Hitman 3 due to the support of Epic Games. It has given IO Interactive the freedom to develop the game as intended.

IO Interactive said that their partnership with Epic gave them the freedom to develop the game. They managed to create the title as they intended it to be.

Hitman 2 and the prequels are currently available on Steam. With the Epic Games deal, some players are concerned if their progress will be carried over.

However, the developers assured that it would be a smooth transition between Steam and Epic.

They said, “we want to make it a seamless process for our PC players to enjoy Hitman 3 on a different PC platform.”

The move allows PC players to enjoy World of Assassination without losing the prequel data.

“It’s also important to us that we honour the time our existing PC players have spent in our previous games,” mentioned the developers.

According to IO Interactive, it is possible for PC players to import the two prequels into the Hitman 3 game file on the Epic Games Store.

“With that in mind, we are pleased to confirm that PC players will be able to carry over their current progression and unlocks from Hitman 2 on Steam into Hitman 3 on Epic Games Store.”

The hype is on World of Assassination

The game is set to launch next year. The game will be available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation.

Sony recently announced that the game would support virtual reality. The announcement showcased the gameplay in VR mode. But, the other details are still secret.

The addition of VR plus complex gameplay makes Hitman 3 worth the wait. Hopefully, there won’t be any delays.
