The upcoming and anticipated sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, has clarified that it will be great despite being cross-gen.
In a recent interview, Mathijs de Jonge talked about the cross-gen aspect of Horizon Forbidden West.
‘Horizon Forbidden West’ “Not Limiting” due to being cross-gen
Whenever a new AAA cross-gen title comes out, its developing team emphasizes the optimizations because many consoles demand different changes to run a game.
And according to Horizon Forbidden West director, they are also taking a similar approach. The team is working best on how to make the cross-gen performance smoother and error-free.
In his recent interview, Mathijs de Jonge discussed the sequel’s PS4 and PS5 development.
He said that dealing with the cross-generation situation didn’t limit them at all while making the game.
He also added that they only wanted to design a really nice, exceptional experience for all the gamers. In short, it’s going to be a mesmerizing adventure.
It implies that players can expect seamless gameplay on old and new consoles like PS4 or PS5.
Hopefully, it will run with no major issues.
The sequel made its gameplay reveal last month during PlayStation’s State of Play live stream event. The 14-minute video showcased Aloy, the famous protagonist from Zero Dawn, returning in form. She will embark on a new journey in the next chapter.
