Fortnite’s Season 3 has a lot of new exciting features. For one, the addition of Loot Sharks that drop rare items when killed.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 now features water terrains and underwater battles. Loot Sharks invade the watery areas. It appears that water is a dominant feature for the past few seasons ever since the fish was introduced in Chapter 2.
Back then, it was a great feature because fishing was new to players. However, as time goes by, players got bored from catching those boring Floppers. This is why the developers have decided to add this new feature for the new season.
Even though the new season’s map is mostly covered in water, looting and riding Loot Sharks can be a daunting task.

What are Loot Sharks?
Loot Sharks are new monsters in Fortnite that drop random items such as ammo and weapons when killed. Killing a shark is easy, but the players who get too close will be prone to the attacks since these nasty creatures can jump out of the water. Moreover, it can even go onshore.
Where to find the sharks?
Loot Sharks can be found anywhere on the map that has water. However, these monsters are pretty rare, so players will need to hunt them. Just like real sharks, their telltale signs are those fins sticking out in the water. They are easily spotted, so players should stick to the areas that are near the edge of an island.
How to loot the sharks?
One of the tasks for the new season is to “Damage Loot Sharks at Sweaty Sands.” Because the sharks are something new, this task may seem confusing, but the challenge is really simple.
Players can deal damage to sharks by aiming and shooting at them. They have tons of health, so players must make sure they have extra ammo. Killing one will take a few bullets, but once eliminated, the sharks drop plenty of loot to pick up.
How to ride a Loot Shark?
To ride a Loot Shark, players need to get a Fishing Rod first. Fishing Rods are found in chests and barrels near the piers. Once a player has one, they just need to throw the line at a shark, and gamers can ride it like a speeding jet ski.
On a side note, players will have full control of the shark when they’re riding it as well.
