Halloween is still officially weeks away to getting celebrated. But in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which just got its Fall Halloween Update, it’s already as good as now. Minus the actual spook festival, that is.
But not to take the statement as an empty claim, though, the game really already has some of the things you need to prep for the Halloween event. Not only did the update render players the ability to farm and thereby harvest tons of pumpkins in time for the occasion. It also comes with the rollout of aesthetics that are undoubtedly seasonal and exclusive to the Fall season with Halloween in mind.
For prepping purposes
If you are the type who likes to prepare in advance, this makes for a perfect opportunity to try and experiment—giving you the chance to do certain costumes and see which color pairs perfectly with.
Speaking of colors, Halloween is notorious for unusual things. And it can even range from skin to eye coloration. Luckily, the game already has available selections for you to try. It is just a matter of procuring them and finding out which hue sticks out the best for a particular style.
If you have already updated to the latest version of New Horizons and you have not visited the Nook Stop kiosk since then, prepare for a surprise. As of right now, there is the addition of two new item sets you could buy. Something you probably did not see prior to the Fall Halloween Update. In particular, the “Exploring New Eye Colors” and the “Body-Paint Costume Tips.”
Nook miles required
Considering that you are buying from the Nook Stop, expect to pay a currency in Nook Miles. Specifically, that would be 2400 Nook miles individually or a total of 4800, if buying both simultaneously.
Purchasing both, head over to a vanity mirror and see how you would look. As Halloween is nothing about normalcy, expect the contents of your purchase to be unusual as well.
For skins, you could anticipate a selection of colors among blue, green, or purple—typical skin discolorations common among the dead or the gravely ill. As for the eyes, on the other hand, expect color options among gray, green, orange, purple, red, and yellow.
While these aesthetics by themselves will not complete your Halloween costume, they still make for an essential part of a complete look. Well worth experimenting while waiting for the weeks to past until that fateful day of the Halloween.
