Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro goes official: Dimensity 800, 90Hz display, and rear triple cams

The Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro is a definitive mid-range powerhouse in the display and performance departments.

Like clockwork, Huawei stuck to its schedule and officially announced the Enjoy 20 Pro. The latest entry in the now-expanding Enjoy series is a mid-range contender that boasts modern display and power offerings.

6.5-inch LCD with 90Hz refresh rate

The Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro is built around a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen, with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. Its display is also home to a 90Hz refresh rate and waterdrop notch that houses its single front-facing shooter. Around the back of the phone, which is made of glass, is a module for triple cameras. There is also the Huawei logo that is horizontally adjacent to the camera setup.

Enjoy 20 Pro: Dimensity 800 5G chip and rear triple cameras

The Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro has solid mid-range internals. At the core is MediaTek’s Dimensity 800 chipset, one of the latest SoCs from the Taiwanese chipmaker. The chip integrates the company’s 5G modem, which delivers significant platform power savings compared to two-chip options.

The Dimensity 800 also supports 5G with two carrier aggregation for 30 percent wider high-speed layer coverage and a more seamless 5G handover. Meanwhile, the chip is accompanied by a Mali-G57MP4 for its GPU needs.

The Enjoy 20 Pro also features 6GB/8GB of RAM tiers, with 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The phone is listed with a 4,000mAh battery, with support for 22.5W fast wired charging.

In the camera department, the Enjoy 20 Pro’s rear panel houses its triple-camera setup. It houses a 48MP wide sensor as its primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. Inside the phone’s notch is a 16MP selfie snapper.

Other highlights

The phone also features Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint reader, and USB Type-C port. The phone runs Android 10 with EMUI 10.1 on top.

The newest handset also doesn’t come with Google services. As it is, users will have to rely on Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). The phone retails in three color variants – Dark Blue, Magic Night Black, and Galaxy Silver.

The Enjoy 20 Pro, which launches in the Chinese market, is priced at CNY 1,999 for its base 6GB/128GB, while the top-tier 8GB/128GB version retails for CNY 2,299. The handset is already up for pre-order and is scheduled to go on sale from June 24.
